Non-Developer with iWeb

Dear Sirs,
As my subject self-explain, I'm not versed on HTML, web development, software development and etc ... . I'm a Graphic Designer and Video Editor, running a little studio at home and because of short budget I'm building my own website. Since I saw some effects like Highslide does in some websites around the internet I'm crazy to have it in my website. I'm trying to build a kind of my portfolio showing my graphic and video work and as I'm not a web developer and my computers are Mac, I'm using the Apple's software / iWeb. I found good tutorials at 2 websites: http://www.iwebunlimited.com and http://iwebfaq.org/site/iWeb_Highslide.html .
But there was one thing that drove me crazy. As I'm a beginner, I make changes all the time and in every change and every new publish of the site to MobileMe, the Highslide Folder and HTML codes changed in the pages just disappeared ... lol I read at the forum in http://www.iwebunlimited.com that it happens unfortunately ... As I really wanted to have those effects within my pictures and videos I spent more than 3 days "surfing" on internet trying to find a solution or trick to avoid it. I finally found the "Highslide Editor". I believe it will help me to shorten the time spent re-making all procedures in every re-publish of the site ( even how I don't know yet ... lol). I tryed to follow the steps on the Highslide Editor but I was not successfull . Do you have a kind os a step-by-step manual to help me ?

I am not familiar with iWeb, so if they can't help you over at iwebunlimited I don't know... Maybe someone here at this forum has used it.
