a.touches.item is not a function Error

Tue Aug 01, 2017 6:28 am

Hi. We are using Highcharts 4.0 with Salesforce. The charts work fine in Salesforce's online version in Chrome,IE etc.. However in Salesforce1 (Salesforce's mobile app on ios/android) when the user touches anywhere on the chart we get the attached error

a.touches.item is not a function is the error message displayed.

Is there a solution for this? Please let me know.

Hi safarsenego,

Please supply me with detailed steps to reproduce this issue. Also please change sources to not minified versions of Highcharts (change *.js to *src.js).

Best regards!

Thanks Kamil. I can show the issue in a WebEx, I can't share details of our org as it is being done for a client.

The steps to reproduce are straight forward. They are
1) On any Salesforce's Visualforce page drop a Highcharts chart.
2) Download Salesforce1 from the ios/Amdroid App store on your mobile device.
3) View the Visualforce page in Salesforce1. Touch anywhere on the map. You will get the above error.

Please let me know if you need any details.

Hi safarsenego,

Could you provide me with the link to the minimal example (not for client - the amount of code that only focuses on this issue) of Salesforce Visulaforce page with a Highchart chart?

Best regards!
