Re: Highslide-gallery and CSS-IE7/8 question - white "outline"

Hai RoadRash, If you look at the picture in the zip IE8_vista_HP.jpg you will see the problem with the wrong uaVersion I think Torstein should set this to the frequently asked questions. In my stats I see a lot of people with the same wrong uaVersion. Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 5....

Re: Strange line beneath the expander IE8

Yup,
that works
The alert still says browser version 6 but at least the hasAlphaImageLoader is correct now and highslide works as it should be.
Thanks, I think more people will be affected by this issue and I cannot controll the registry settings at a client.

Re: Strange line beneath the expander IE8

Yes :) found the problem In full.js on line 234 there is a browser detection uaVersion: parseFloat((navigator.userAgent.toLowerCase().match( /.+(?:rv|it|ra|ie)[\/: ]([\d.]+)/ ) || [0,'0'])[1]), After disabling this line IE8 works properly. Now I will test the other browsers and see if I can find a s...
