Double colorAxis

Postby jb3_2 » Wed Jun 13, 2018 12:48 pm

Hi,

Based on your Pie on Map example (https://www.highcharts.com/maps/demo/map-pies) I have created a map with our own shapes. It works fine, but the font of the colorAxis is too dark. I realized this is because the colorAxis is rendered twice, see screenshot. How can I make sure the colorAxis is only rendered once?

Here's my fiddle: https://jsfiddle.net/jb3_2/f41yus0g/

Here's a Screenshot of the fiddle and the double svg node for the colorAxis text:

hi jb3_2,

This issue occurs only in v6.1.0, so it's a bug. I will open a new issue on our GitHub repostory, and send you a link so that you can watch the progress of fixing. At this moment, I recommend you to use v6.0.7. Here is the example: https://jsfiddle.net/dxjonh89/

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for your help. I'm glad it's not something I messed up in my code ;-)

Currently I cannot go back to 6.0.7 because of this problem in Highstock < 6.1: https://forum.highcharts.com/highstock- ... its-t40092, so I will probably have to wait for your fix.

Best, J.

hi jb3_2,

I tried to debug it, but the problem looks complex a bit. Maybe you can try to delete all old legend DOM elements in some place of your code? Here is the example code:
Code: Select all
var legendItems = document.querySelectorAll('div.highcharts-legend-item')
  for (var i = 0; i <= legendItems.length / 2; i++) {
     legendItems[i].remove()
  }

Live example: https://jsfiddle.net/scdxpyau/

Here is the link to reported issue: https://github.com/highcharts/highcharts/issues/8478

Best regards!

hi jb3_2,

It's already fixed on master branch of our GitHub repo. You can use the latest version just like that:
Code: Select all
<script src="https://github.highcharts.com/highcharts.src.js"></script>
<script src="https://github.highcharts.com/maps/modules/map.src.js"></script>

Live example: https://jsfiddle.net/px3s4kr7/

Best regards!

Thanks. I use Highcharts export Server via node.js, too, which requires a version number. It would be great if nightly builds with version number would be provided via npm so I can use bugfix releases also for the export server. Currently I would not know how to use the repo head wirh the export server. Do dou think it is possible to input this idea to the Highcharts dev team for further consideration?
