select data

Postby pascalp » Wed Feb 22, 2012 2:07 pm

Hi everyone,
In my Highstock chart I would like to run statistic analysis in different ranges. My problem is that I only want to download the values in another file which are visible (zoomed) on the screen. This should be possible with a button.

Thanks for your help

I'm not quite following you. Could you explain it a bit more? You want to get values from the chart, or render chart that should contain only part of a data from the file, or maybe something else?

By loading my chart I got the values of the last two years. Using the zoom function I look at special groups of objects (searching for noticeable values). Having selected an area (for example January to February), I want to do statistic analyses of it and open the results in a new chart. That is to say I don't need all of the values but only those of January till February. My question is how to select only these values which are seen on the screen now, like taking a screenshot to analyse and download them into a new file.

Thanks for your help

Oh sure, now I understood! You can access to "selected" data using chart.series[0].processedYData (y values) or chart.series[0].processedXData (x values).
